Born in Brooklyn, New York on the 23rd December, 1938.
Received a BEE(Bachelors of Electrical Engineering) from City College of New York
Earned an M.A and PhD Degrees from Princeton University in 1962 and respectively.

In 1972, he began writing at the Information Processing Techniques Office(IPTO) within ARPA
In fall 1972 he demonstrated the ARPANET by connecting 20 different Computers at the International Computer Communication Conference
He came up with initial ideas for what later became the Transmission Control Protocol

He was joined by Vint Cerf joined him on the project in the spring of 1973.
Together they completed an early version of the TCP
