9 Prewriting Concrete Poetry What Is Prewriting? Prewriting is brainstorming or creating a plan before you write. By using a graphic organizer you can organize your ideas!

24 Concrete Poetry- Drafting Practice Activity (5th Grade) The class will draft a concrete poem using the shared pen method. The class will select a topic- the topic will be selected from the prewriting activity. When the poem is complete the class will decide what shape it should be written in.

25 Concrete Poetry- Drafting Assessment Activity (5th Grade) Students will begin to write their own draft of a concrete poem. They must have at least 4 descriptive words or ideas about their topic.
